Library Student Employees Make a Difference

Asbury University - Kinlaw Library student assistants are very important members of the Kinlaw Library staff. The tasks they perform are critical to the efficient and successful operation of the library. Whether at a service desk, on the phone, or performing other tasks or projects, student employees are very important and appreciated. What is your job title?
  Jonathon Baker - Curriculum Lab Assistant
In what section or unit of Kinlaw Library do you work?
  King Curriculum Lab
What is your student job in a nutshell?
    To provide resources and services to students, faculty, staff and the community. Assist the education department and its students/faculty in utilizing resources and materials in the classroom environment.
What are you working on right now?
   Rearranging and reorganizing education materials, curriculum resources, and books.
How long have you been at Kinlaw Library?
   I have been working in Kinlaw for 1 year as both a tutor and a lab assistant.
Have you held any other jobs with Asbury University?
  Yes. As a tutor.
Do you have a favorite accomplishment at Kinlaw Library?
   One of my favorite accomplishments is working with and tutoring students so they can succeed academically.
What is your major, and intended date of completion?
   My major is Christian Ministries with minors in mathematics, secondary education, and Bible Theology. I intend to graduate in May of 2016
What career/s are you interested in?
  I am interested in High School Math Education, Adolescent Counseling/Social Work and ministry.
What are your passions or interests outside of work and school?
   I am very passionate about singing, dancing, running, and writing. When I am not at work or school, I enjoy spending my time working with people (adults and teens) in a ministry setting. I also enjoy spending time with friends and family, watching movies, going on walks, eating out, drinking coffee with friends and of course spending money!
